Makeup Revolution London The Matte Effect Cover And Conceal : Review, swatch
Hello Gorgeous 🙂
I have this obsession with finding right Concealer for Dusky-Dark skintones.
I mean most Indian drugstore Indian brands cater only till Medium skintone, that too with difficulty.
I keep trying Concealer from International brands.
One such Concealer I tried is Makeup Revolution London the Matte Effect Cover and Conceal in the shade MC 12 Darkest
Price : 550INR ( I got it for 250INR) or £1.00
What The Product Says: Matte and very creamy, packing all the coverage you need to depend on.An all round concealer providing a matte finish covering all imperfections. A product which should be part of your daily makeup routine for quick and easy cover-ups Matte and very creamy, packing all the coverage you need to depend on.
Ingredients: Paraffinum liquidum,Ozokerite,Polybutene,Ethylhexyl palmitate,TALC,Ceresin,Cera Alba,Propylparaben,BHT,Parfum, (+/-); CI 77891, CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499
My Thoughts on the Concealer:
Packaging: The Concealer comes in a very sturdy Black tube where the product can twisted up and down, like the lipstick packaging. The packaging is lightweight and travel friendly.
Texture: Looking at the tube, I felt the texture might be dry as usually the stick type base products are dry .But this one is Creamy and spreads easily.
Performance: As I mentioned earlier the Creamy texture it has blends vey easily. You can either dab the product directly from the tube or pick it up using the brush. You can use it as a spot Concealer as well . The pigmentation is great. The shade “darkest” has strong yellow undertones and goes perfectly with my Dusky skin tone. I usually correct my dark circles using the Orange corrector and apply this. I would say the coverage is medium which can be built. It covers the pigmentation of the face well too. Just like the name says it indeed gives a matte, non- cakey, invisible finish. Set it with powder stays for about 4 hours even in the heat. It does not have any scent to it. It entitles for the daily wear concealer type.
It has never broken me out. It is a wonderful Concealer for Oily skin/normal skin. Dry skinned girls can stay away from this as I feel it might make the under eye appear dry.
Makeup Revolution London The Matte Effect Cover And Conceal MC 12 Darkest is one of the Nice Concealer out there which does the concealing job well. Stays for about 4-5 hours, gives good coverage and it’s affordable I have seen some of the youtubers using it as a contour stick too.
I believe it has some 5-6 shades so hopefully one can get their match in this. For fair skin tones girls, you have many options so you can give it a try. However if you belong to Dusky/deeper skin tone and have oily skin do try this as its difficult to get a Concealer of this shade in the Indian brand.
Have you tried this? Do you go through trouble fining conceler?
