Maybelline Color Blur Berry Misbehaved

Hello All 🙂

Maybelline Color Blur in Berry Misbehaved was a part of the US haul I did a while back. A while a back * realizes that it’s already been 7 months and wonders why the year is flying*. Anyhoo the Lip blurs are named as Lip gradation here in India. I don’t own any lip gradations but I have swatched them in the counter and the good quality seems to replicate here.

All the good things have been told about them, so I won’t go deep into the review. Blurs come in a Pen like packaging, with twist up body with the rubber kind of thing at the other end to help in the blurring effect. The shade I have is Berry Misbehaved. Another Berry ? Fed up? Can’t help it.. Ha ha . It is a beautiful Berry Pink shade which leans towards Rose. It comes close to Pink 2 in MNY gradient. The texture is super smooth with the mind-blowing pigmentation. These are super soft, so one gotta be gentle with it. The finish is powdery matte and it is comfortable on the lips. Being a matte lip product one can’t escape prepping of the lips, but this colour blur is worth prepping your lips. The size of the bullet is not that of the lipstick nor as thin as lip liner, but I tend to use it as a lip liner sometimes. This is soooo pigmented that I often color my one lip, press both of them together and the bullet colour is there on the lips. Yup that saturated. Stays for about 5-6 hours and leaves a stain behind. It cant survive an oily meal. Can a lipstick survive a oily meal? hmmm

Price: $8.99 / 500INR in India for 1.25gms

Maybelline Color Blur Berry Misbehaved

Pros:
Pretty shade, Powder matte finish, Great texture, Great color payoff, Stays for around 5-6 hours, Comfy on lips

Cons:
Prepping of lips are required, Less quantity for the price paid, Too soft.

Last words:
Though on pricier side if you calculate price versus grams, still the comfortable formula staying power, pretty pigmented shades and a little gimmicky packaging makes it worth trying. I might not buy the gradation here, but then you never know ha ha.

Is it effective in creating the blur/gradient effect: Who knows? I personally don’t like the half lipstick eaten trend and I think it’s stupid. Plus I cannot live with it’s colored bottom. Okay?
Then why you needed this women? You ask?: Because it’s a lipstick. Duh!! .

Have you tried this? Do you like ombre/blur/gradient lipstick effect ?

Oh I love matt lippies but like you even I am not a gradient lip fan. It somehow never pleased me.

I see pom poms 😀 😀 Though I like Maybelline products, but never went ahead for the gradation pencils because I can naturally attain gradient effect once I snack upon anything with lipstick on bwahaha :’D

Hehe..have not tried this because even I don’t like this blur trend. I anyways have quite pigmented lips so it a NO NO for me. But the shade sure does look good on you 🙂

Pretty pink shade! 😍 I think it wasn’t launched in India. I own fuschia one from this range. It stays on for like forever! I want to get my hands on a berry-ish wine shade from color blur, but they didn’t launch it in India. :'(
