PLUM E-Luminence Simply Supple Cleansing Balm review

Hi All 🙂

When it comes to removing makeup I love cleansing oil and cleaning balm. It’s like an one step solution for complete makeup removal, after a long tiring day.
The timing of this launch could not have been better. The cleansing oil I was using got empty the same time as PLUM launched E-Luminence Simply Supple Cleansing Balm. So I ordered one.

My views on cleansing balm:
The E-Luminence Simply Supple Cleansing Balm comes in a Transparent jar packaging, sealed with the foil. It has a tiny plastic spatula provided along with it, to scrap the cleansing balm. Smart packing and spatula makes it hygienic too.

The cleansing balm is oily waxy to touch ( The typical balm) and it has a mild peach baby pink sort of color to it. The texture is thick yet creamy.

I have used the one from The Body shop before and I loved it. So when I used this cleansing balm by Plum for the first time, I really dint like it that much. Reason being it is bit thick and bit difficult to spread on the face. So you end up using more product than required.

But now that I figured out, how to use it, I am liking it. Trick is to take a bit in spatula, keep it on finger for a some seconds and let body heat liquidyfy it bit, so that it gets easier to spread on face this way.
Once spread, I massage it on the face. Let it sit for a minute and let it melt the makeup. If you splash water on it, it becomes white kinda water, if you wet the cotton and remove it will clean the face in minute. It melts away the stubborn long wearing water proof foundation, liquid lipsticks in seconds. Though it can remove eye makeup and mascara, I would not recommend it. As it might burn eyes and might enter your eye, leaving you in hallucinating state of “ what the hell just happened right now”. It forms a oily film on the eyes, blurring the eyes as it is oily balm after all. Again this is normal in cleansing balm. After that I do rinse my face with facewash for the double cleanse.

It does deep cleanses the face, and leaves a cleansed, fresh, moisturized face behind. It has Kokum Butter and Shea Butter in it. Also, it is sulphate free and 100% vegan. So it has all the goodness in it to make the face awesome sause. It never broke me out too. I have an oily face and it works fine for me.

Final verdict: Does what it claims. removes makeup and leaves a deep cleansed, fresh face behind. Do try it.

Do you like cleansing balm? Which makeup remover are you using currently?
