Hi All šŸ™‚

Florida

Relax by the Water

When you think of Florida, you probably think of sunny skies and warm beaches. Whether you want to spend a few hours at the beach or a few days, the Naples area will make an ideal home base for your travels. One of the most popular hotels in the area is the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort and Spa. You can take the hourly ferry to an island where you can lounge on the beach, watch dolphins play, or collect pretty shells ā€“ all right from the hotel property.

If swimming pools are more your style, there are Naples family friendly hotels that have plenty of those too. This Hyatt features refreshing lazy rivers, exhilarating waterslides, and zero-entry pools. You can rent a cabana to relax in when you’re ready for a bit of poolside shade.

Go for Adventure

To experience Florida’s wild side, take a day trip to the Everglades National Park area. These wetlands are home to manatees, crocodiles, alligators, herons, otters, and even panthers. One exciting way to explore this area is to go on an airboat tour.

If sports adventures are more your style, head to Florida during spring training season to see the Boston Red Sox or the Minnesota Twins practice. Other sports attractions in the Naples area include Florida Everblades hockey games at Hertz Arena and college games at Alico Arena.

See the Exhibits

When you’re ready to check out a museum, be sure to visit The Ringling. This Sarasota complex consists of multiple facilities. You can enjoy the works of the masters at the Museum of Art or learn about clowns and acrobats at the Circus Museum. Other opportunities include strolling through the Bayfront Gardens, touring the Ca d’Zan home, or seeing a show at the Historic Asolo Theater.

At The Mound House: A Cultural and Environmental Learning Center, you can learn about the Calusa people who lived on Estero Island thousands of years ago. The two museums on the property highlight artifacts and archaeological finds from the area.

Explore the Outdoors

Visit Barefoot Beach Preserve County Park for an opportunity to enjoy Florida’s fresh air. The park has a 1-mile walking trail, a butterfly garden, a cactus garden and a sandy beach. You can bring a picnic lunch or simply enjoy a relaxing hike.

At J.N. ā€œDingā€ Darling National Wildlife Refuge, you can go on a 90-minute tram tour of the park. While you’re there, take a walk or a bicycle ride along the Indigo Trail or the Bailey Tract.

Naples is such a great vacation spot. Whether you want to hop off a plane and relax poolside, hit up a wildlife preserve, or see some priceless art, thereā€™s always something to do. No matter how you plan your vacation, you’re sure to have a great time when you visit Naples.
