W2 Strawberry Moisturiser : Review
Hi All 🙂
After Lacto calamine moisturizer happened to me, I really don’t feel like trying any other moisturizer, yet when you see the options around you tend to feel like. You get me right? That was the reason I picked this up, new moisturizer from a brand new for me. This was a part of the birthday haul ( Haul post here) .
Price: 110INR for 100ml.
What W2 say:
W2 Strawberry Moisturiser works on both oily and dry skin. It regenerates the skin and maintains oil balance. This has anti-oxidant and astringent properties.
My experience with W2 Strawberry Moisturizer:
W2 Strawberry Moisturiser comes in the usual flip cap tube. The Tube is black in colour and the cap shuts a little too tightly. The moisturizer has this gel like texture, very light but extremely runny in nature. We cannot control the amount that comes out of the tube. It just flows and flows and flows until you tilt the tube. Also, the moisturizer has a artificial strawberry scent to it, not strong rather soothing.
While applying/spreading the moisturizer it feels sticky, but it is not once it sinks in. If I have applied any oil on the face like the Aurvedic oil, the moisturizer then applied feels heavy, also if the weather is very humid I feel the moisturizer heaviness. Apart from that on its own; applied on freshly washed face it sinks in right away and gives a matte moisturized finish.
I have oily skin, the moisturization provided is enough on its own. It cannot keep the face oil free for longer time, just for about 2-3 hours that’s all, after that face turns dewy and then oily. But it does keep the face moisturized for a long time; whenever face gets shiny I simply blot the face. When worn under the base makeup, the face turned oilier than sooner. So it is not something I wear it as a base for makeup.
This is face/body moisturizer, so when used on my extremely dry feet, its moisturizer thirst was satiated upto 7 hours after that I feel stretchy. So I think this should fair fine with all skintypes, might not be for harsh winters but still it should be fine.
This has not broken me out, never gave any bump or any itching on face.
It’s just a simple day moisturizer for day when you are at home. About the claims, I don’t think it can do anything. It did not control oil on me, I don’t think it can do something for the dry patches on the skin and the wrinkle control claim is little farfetched. I used to keep one inexpensive moisturizer in the locker of my office so that I could be careless and not worry about it. I think this moisturizer is best used that way. All in all just a simple moisturizer, nothing special.
What do you think about this? Which is your favorite Moisturizer for Face/body ?
