La girl orange corrector

Hello All πŸ™‚Β

If you have read my MUR Matte Effect Cover And Conceal review you might know that I have an obsession finding Concealer for deeper skintone.
I have the same obsession when it comes finding a corrector. I want affordable corrector which can be easily acquired. Period!!
Having used/using LA Girl Pro HD Concealer in daily life, I wanted to try their orange corrector as well. So lets get onto the review but before that I’ll rant
something about why we need a corrector.

Price: 535 INR for 8gms( $3-$5)

Why you need corrector:
I ain’t a pro. I will utter the words the way I understand about corrector. You need corrector to do the underground work before you put on your foundation or Concealer to look flawless. So there is a color wheel and the colour which is opposite to that, neutralizes the colour. Eg: Blue veins under eyes need some orange, Red marks/pimples need green. It’s crazy!! It’s insane!! And yet magic. Ever wondered why your Concealer looks ashy, whereas on others it look flawless. Correctors are
your answers. May be one day I’ll rant more and write more on this corrector topic.

For now let’s head on the review :

Packaging/Texture/Pigmentation: Easy sqeezy Tube with brush tip applicator. When I used the LA Girl Pro HD Concealer in Fawn and Warm Honey the brush was hard. However the LA girl team has improved/worked on the packaging and made the brush tip super soft. Thumbs up LA team .Very light and very travel friendly. The texture is thick yet creamy and it easily blends. The pigmentation is insane.

Shade: The orange shade is pure bright orange shade and not a milky orange or the peach orange.

Performance: As I mentioned the pigmentation is so insane that only 1-2 dots are enough for 2 eyes. For the face/upper lip area you can do a pin point technique. It blends easily but if there too much product; the orange shade will peak through the Concealer as the orange is bright orange. It stays for long. I have seen that if you use the corrector in efficient way, even a tinted moisturizer on the top of it is enough to eliminate any darkness. So if I wear it under a BB cream/TintedΒ moisturizer it stays intact for about 5 hours, then I can see that it is fading. Under the Concealer it fares well, the staying power depends on the Concealer. With my MNY fit me Concealer I see that the fading happens only after about 8 hours. So the performance is really good for the price they come in.

Is it for everybody? : I dont think so. It will work for Dusky, deeper skin tone easily or the fair-medium skin tones with the deep dark circles. If you are fair with minimum dark circles, the orange might peak through your base, Concealer. You have to tone it down. How you ask? By adding peach to it I guess, not really sure. I have read many reviews in international blogs and almost all of them have the same opinion.

Pros:
Affordable, Insane Pigmentation, very light and travel friendly packaging, Good staying power, Works well with Deeper/Dusky skin tones and for deep dark circles.
Cons:
Might be too orange forΒ fair beauties
Last words:
I called them Concealer $3 Miracle and I call these a miracle too. Yeah we have to pay double the price in India, but it’s worth it. Tell me which other brand gives tube full of Orange corrector at 500 bucks eh?Β

Do you use a corrector? Which one are you using right now?
Live life to the fullest
XOXO
SB

I haven’t needed to use color correction in my routine yet (thankfully!) but I’ve heard such good things about this one that I’d really love to get into it. I think I’ll be trying this baby out in the future! You can’t really beat $3. Thanks for sharing!

I don’t have dark circles rather have red circles!! After reading this post,I think I badly need a corrector to correct the red marks, but which one to buy, Swathi? Orange one won’t suit me,I think.
