Hi All 🙂
This is one of the latest launches by Maybelline, without further intros, I am diving directly into the review of Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Waterproof Gel Pencil – Glazed Toffee .
Price: 499INR for 1.10g
What Maybelline New York says:

My Experience with Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Waterproof Gel Pencil – Glazed Toffee:
Packaging: Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Waterproof Gel Pencil – Glazed Toffee is a sharpanable pencil, which is color coordinated with the pencil shade and a clear cap. It comes sealed in the paper packaging which has all the details. Sharpener is not provided. The body is not the usual wodden, rather a plastic kind. The normal ones I had worked but for some finding the right one might be an issue.
Texture/pigmentation: The pencil has creamy texture which glides very well. And its the same on the waterline too. You do have a little window time to smudge it if you want, before it sets. Makes this ideal for shadow purposes. The pigmentation is good, only 1-2 swipes are required.
Performance: The shade doesn’t have any shimmer its a pure dark brown shade and sets into this velvety matte finish. On the waterline it stays for about 4 hours but on the upper lash liner it almost survives whole day, with the little fading at the end of the day. This is smudge proof and it is waterproof. This can be removed easily with the oil based makeup remover.
There is a reason I have kept the shade description at the end:
Shade: The shade ‘Glazed Toffee’ is a dark brown shade. It is a very natural shade, one can use it for smokey eyes. Or when you want your lipstick to stand out. However, Though natural on the eyes and will show up on the fair and medium skin tones easily, being dusky skin tone I struggle to get the true shade, especially on upper lashline. I still like this, but I cant wear it on its own. I have to tightline the eyes or add black kajal at the outer corner of the waterline. Most browns do tend to do it on deeper skin tones. So remember dusky skin tones can wear it with the some black hints and I feel the darker skin tones can skip this.
Great color coded packaging, Dark brown shade, Affordable, Smooth texture, no irritation to the eyes, Long stay,
No sharpener is provided, might not show up on deeper skintones
I love this purchase I have been adding this to eyes a lot these days. I don’t consider the sharpening part a con anymore as, the twistable ones gets fungus soon and these sharpenable ones lasts longer. Also, try getting them on sale. Fair to medium beauties can buy this mindlessly however if you are in dusky/deeper skin tones, do check the swatches in the counter. I have one more shade in this which I will review soon in separate post as I felt that brown needed some explanation. I do recommend this.
Have you tried this? Do you like colored liners?
