In the review of Colourpop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick, I mentioned about a another Liquid lipstick and Diana of London 2000 Kisses Wonderful Lipstick 3 Sunset Red is the one.
Diana of London brand has been around from few years.I have used a couple of products before but not recently. Now its been doing rounds again due to the liquid lipstick Trend. This range has about 40 shades. After staring the screen for countless hours I settled for this shade ^_^ .
Price : 699INR ( $11) for 8ml ( I got it for 599INR and its allways on discount)
My experiencing with the lipstick:
Packaging : A simple transparent plastic bottle with the blue cap. My Mum liked it as its quite unique. The doe-foot applicator is easy to work with, it reaches every nook and corner of the lips without any problem. The shade name and number is printed at the bottle of the Tube.
Shade : The Shade Sunset is a Brown red with the Hint of Peach. It’s brightnes up the face without adding any age to the face. Also its not that ” Look at me” type of Red. The peach in it is only prominent on lips, may be because of my dusky skintone, but its really a unique Red in my collection.
Texture, Pigmentation and Finish : This is one hell of a pigmented lip product. Very saturated. The texture is very creamy, little moussy type. Spreads easily and evenly on the lips. The finish is matte, not that completely dried matte but rather a flattering matte. Also, it takes about good 45 seconds to set, so you have enough time to fill your lips in precise with this lipstick.
Performance: Once it sets it is waterproof. However it is not completly transfer proof I would say it’s 90% transfer proof. It does stay for a very long time on lips. Let me break it down the performance. After about 3-4 hours, it’s starts fading. If you keep munching in between, it does fade but fading happens equally. Nothing like the shade will go away only at the center of the lips. It has survived my Meal as well. I remember having some oily food when I had this on, it managed to survive that too. So after dinner about 50% of the shade was still present. The lips started feeling dryness only after about 6th hour. Maybe if the food is extremely oily, it might mess up the lipstick, otherwise I feel this lipstick manages well. Only with the makeup remover the shade went away completely. At any point the the lipstick did not crack, nor it settled down in the fine lines. Being a matte liquid lipstick you need to prep the lips. I don’t find it overly drying.
Great pigmentation, travel friendly pack, Fantastic Brick Red shade, Great formula, Matte finish, Long stay, Does not crack.
Needs prepping of the lips, Little drying over the time
I absolutely loved the formula, mousy, easy to work with, great pigmentation and affordable. I know I know it costs 700 bucks, but if you compare the liquid lipsticks price range , it is affordable. Also, I find this Red shade unique. Its not that attention screaming yet wont go unnoticed type. I do want one more, but I have few more lipstick range to catch onto before I come back to this. Love it and Recommend.
